Mechanics of the Constitution’ Workshop

On August 22, 2024, the National Integrity Coalition (NIC) hosted an engaging workshop titled Mechanics of the Constitution’ at the Results Room, Electoral Commission’s Office, Mont-Fleuri. The event aimed to deepen understanding and application of the 1993 Constitution of Seychelles among independent state institutions and promote public participation in political processes.

The workshop featured insightful sessions led by key speakers, including Justice Bernadin Re-naud (Retired), Chairperson of the Seychelles Human Rights Commission, and Mr. Chrystold Chetty, Co-Chair of Seychelles OGP. Mr. George Robert, Ombudsman, led the main presentations and discussions, providing valuable knowledge and fostering interactive dialogue.

Participants enjoyed a productive morning, with opportunities for professional growth and networking. The event was supported by various NIC members, including the Electoral Commission, Information Commission, Ombudsman Office, Media Commission, and Seychelles Human Rights Commission.
